That's why when big box pet stores moved into town, he and his wife Diane found new ways to serve their loyal guests in Burlington, NC by adding wild bird seed & supplies, garden flags & outdoor decor, and gifts for the whole family to enjoy.

Around 10 years ago, Roger and his family had a vision to help local dog and cat owners to care for their pets holisticly by providing them immediate access to an incredibly wide selection of the most nutritious natural pet foods on the market. To communicate that clearly, they chose the name The Natural Dog Pet Food Market.

Since Nature's Emporium had become the name Burlington shoppers trust for premium pet food, garden supplies, and gifts, the Oakes family chose not to immediately change the name to match the new stores that would open soon. Now that Burlington and the surrounding area is growing, we want to make sure pet owners new to Alamance County can clearly tell what you've always known - that this is the go-to place for natural pet food.
